What are three important issues or improvements that could be addressed in the next year to help the average citizen in Lake County?

I think there are three things that can be improved over the course of the next year. Three issues:

  1. Violence
  2. Health
  3. Education

Violence

I think when it comes to violence, we can do the work to better understand systemic violence and its relationship to us and the physical violence we're seeing play out in communities like North Chicago.

Health

In regards to health, while we work on larger social determinants of health, we can look at micro actions that we can take every day to help us better manage our physical and mental health.

Education

And in regards to education, there's so much information out there, but not a lot of it is demystified enough to be digestible for the folks who really need to read it. We can start implementing Demystification projects immediately to help folks better understand all of this important information that is in front of them.
